SAY HELLO TO

ALANNAH

Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Alannah is a passionate Paediatric Occupational Therapist who is dedicated to helping children and teens build confidence and independence in their everyday lives. Since graduating from the University of Newcastle in 2019 with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours), Alannah has gained valuable experience working in community-based settings with children of all ages and abilities.

She has supported children with a wide range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, intellectual disabilities, and developmental delays. Alannah enjoys working towards practical, meaningful goals that empower children to participate fully in daily life—whether that's developing motor skills, building independence in self-care routines, supporting social participation, or strengthening cognitive and executive functioning through play and structured activities.

Alannah has completed professional development in CO-OP (Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance) and brings a culturally responsive approach to her work, having supported families from diverse backgrounds. She believes therapy should feel empowering, playful, and collaborative—tailored to each child’s unique strengths and goals.

Her therapy style is functional, strength-based, and child-led, with a strong focus on creating a supportive space where children feel safe to grow and families feel heard and supported.

Outside of work, Alannah brings her adventurous spirit into her personal life—she loves exploring new hobbies like trapeze, learning the drums, and giving rock climbing a go. She brings that same sense of fun, curiosity, and encouragement into every therapy session.

Alannah feels incredibly grateful to walk alongside children and their families, celebrating the small wins that lead to big progress.
