EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP)
At The Gray Area, we recognise that life’s challenges aren’t always straightforward. Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides a compassionate and supportive space to empower individuals in navigating the complexities of life. Through open dialogue and increased awareness, we strive to remove the barriers to seeking help.
WHAT IS AN EAP?
An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free, voluntary, and confidential counselling service offered by your employer.
ABOUT OUR EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP)
The Gray Area is an Allied Health service dedicated to offering psychological support to the community. As a trusted Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider, we are here to support employees facing personal, family, or work-related challenges. Our experienced and compassionate psychologists are ready to help when difficulties impact your well-being or quality of life. We provide a safe, confidential space where you can discuss your concerns and collaborate with a psychologist to develop practical strategies for overcoming them, ensuring you receive the support you need during challenging times.
COMMITTED TO YOUR CONFIDENTIALITY
Our psychologists operate independently of your employer and are dedicated to upholding your confidentiality. Using your EAP won’t impact your role at work, and no one—including your employer—will know you have accessed counseling. Your EAP offers:
• Free and confidential support
• Professional counselling from an external provider
• Flexible options, with both in-person and telehealth appointments available to suit your needs.
WHEN SHOULD I CONTACT MY EAP?
How you are feeling is always a good way of judging when you might need assistance.
Do you ever find yourself:
being distracted by problems at work or home
getting tired or sick
having days off
feeling emotional
running late
missing deadlines
being involved in conflicts
burdened by everyday concerns
If so, you may benefit from seeking support from your EAP to help get things back on track.
WHAT ISSUES CAN MY EAP ASSIST WITH?
Some common issues people seek assistance for are:
emotional distress
work related and personal stress
relationship and family problems
grief and loss
children’s issues
conflict with colleagues or managers
gambling, alcohol and drug use.
Whatever the nature and extent of your concerns, feel free to contact us and arrange a time to talk with one of our qualified and experienced counsellors.
HOW DO I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?
Our EAP is accessible in various convenient locations and Telehealth options. Just share a few basic details about yourself and your workplace, and we’ll arrange a confidential appointment with a psychologist at a time that works best for you.
