Delivered in collaboration with our psychologists and occupational therapists, we’re here to help your family thrive!

*This workshop is specifically designed for parents and carers. We kindly ask that children do not attend.

THE STRUCTURE

Our workshop is divided into two sessions to ensure you absorb all the information and we have ample time for your questions.

Session 1: Defining Emotional Regulation 

Principles and theories associated with emotional regulation from the Psychological and Occupational Therapy lens.

What we’ll focus on:

  • Key stages of childhood brain development

  • Important links between brain development and emotional regulation

  • The sensory systems - what’s all this talk about cups?

  • Proactivity vs Reactivity in regulation

  • Identifying emotions

Session 2: Strategies to Support Emotional Regulation

Practical strategies and how they can be best implemented to support effective emotional regulation.

What we’ll focus on:

  • Importance of caregiver regulation

  • Daily routines and their impact

  • Incorporation of sensory strategies
