EXPLORERS UNITE!

Last week, two of our superstar explorers embarked on an adventure, lead by TGA Occupational Therapists, Lewis Mason and Jayden Rivers, during our very first scavenger hunt group at The Gray Area practice! This action-packed activity was designed to foster teamwork, problem-solving, and collaboration skills in a fun, engaging way—and these explorers rose to the challenge at every turn.

SOLVING THIS PUZZLE WAS NO EASY TASK! THROUGHOUT THE GROUP OUR EXPLORERS PRACTICED THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

  • Balance and strength to navigate obstacle courses

  • Problem solving and flexible thinking to follow clues

  • Visual perception  to solve puzzles

  • Collaboration and communication to listen to each other's ideas and take turns throughout

  • Managing frustrations to navigate tricky challenges

  • Encouragement to celebrate each other's victories

Our school holiday groups are a great opportunity to practice skills alongside peers in a fun, supported way, and are a great complement to individual therapy sessions. We can't wait for more group fun next school holidays!

Keep an eye out on socials for upcoming programs across The Gray Area.
