Director/ Registered Psychologist
Myles Cherry completed a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) degree at Lafayette College in Pennsylvania, United States. He is registered as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA). Myles is also an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Myles has experience working with all individuals across all stages of life.. He adeptly addresses various psychological concerns, including anxiety, depression, self-harm, behavioural difficulties, developmental trauma, and other complex psychological challenges. As part of his practice, Myles conducts comprehensive psychometric assessments, including evaluations for neurodevelopment disorders and specific learning difficulties.
Within his therapeutic approach, Myles integrates a diverse range of modalities to tailor treatments to each individual's needs. These approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Through collaborative efforts with young people, adults, and families, he identifies and implements realistic cognitive and behavioural strategies to meet their unique requirements. Myles is deeply committed to fostering positive change within the community.
Beyond his work in mental health, Myles has a passion for empowering athletes to achieve their full potential in their competitive domains. Having represented NSW and Australia, as well as playing NCAA Division 1 College Basketball, he intimately understands the challenges of competing at an elite level. Myles aspires to leverage his athletic experiences to inspire others and support them in reaching their own extraordinary accomplishments.
